GIULIA + SHAWN | Intimate backyard wedding in Bobcaygeon, Ontario

Where do I even begin with Giulia + Shawn.

After being affected by the almighty COVID-19, Giulia + Shawn quickly swapped their perspectives + decided to host the worlds’ smallest italian wedding on a private residence in Bobcaygeon. Now thinking about it, their original plans to get married in a Burlington Hall just don’t seem to resonate at all with their personalities! I think this is what God would call a blessing in disguise. After a few trial + error dates, they decided on September 12th, 2020.

You know one of the things I always market myself for is building + sustaining close relationships with all of my “clients“. Giulia + Shawn are the exact definition of what I pride myself on which is having clients become close friends + have that perfect mixture of trust, collaboration + calmness. From our initial meeting at Amsterdam BrewHouse to now, I knew we were the perfect match! Giulia is also a photographer so when she first inquired with me I was beyond excited + honored… But also terrified. As a wedding photographer when you get asked by another wedding photographer to photograph a wedding it feels like the pressure is ON, but with Giulia + Shawn, their laid-back personalities made the day so much more special + enjoyable for me as a photographer. I knew there wasn’t going to be extra pressure from Giulia because of how much trust she put in me. I did my usual thing + got all the detail shots, the intimate moments, the candid moments + everything in between. This wedding + these two humans are truly so special to me because of the bond we’ve created. My hope is that all my future brides + grooms will walk the same path as these two, because it’s so appreciated + the imagery turns out 100x more pure + authentic (in my opinion.) I look forward to watching these two continue to grow + learn together.
