Amanda and Jacob’s wedding at The Abbey in Phoenix, Arizona was a breathtaking fusion of historic architecture, thoughtful design, and pure emotion. Nestled in the heart of Phoenix, The Abbey is a restored church-turned-event space known for its soaring archways, original stone walls, and striking industrial-meets-ethereal charm. Its raw textures, exposed brick, and towering window frames created a cinematic backdrop that felt both timeless and modern — the perfect canvas for a wedding that balanced old-world romance with a fresh editorial eye.
Amanda, who wore a stunning Vivienne Westwood gown, intentionally sought out a photographer who could capture not just the beauty of the day, but the feeling of it — blending the grandeur of the architecture with an editorial softness. We immediately connected over her vision for effortless, stylish imagery that still felt deeply emotional and true to them. It was an honor to bring that vision to life through my lens.
The day was beautifully planned and flawlessly coordinated by the talented team at Alden Events, who elevated every detail to reflect Amanda and Jacob’s ethereal and charming aesthetic. The ceremony took place in The Abbey’s open-air courtyard, where the natural stone, lush climbing vines, and desert sun created an ethereal atmosphere for their heartfelt vows.
Following the ceremony, guests moved into a dreamy outdoor reception space filled with long, white modern tables, clear ghost chairs, soft candlelight, and delicate white florals. Every detail was curated to allow the stunning architecture and natural beauty of the venue to shine without overpowering it. The evening unfolded under the Arizona sky, filled with laughter, emotional toasts, and a packed dance floor as the stars came out overhead.
